About the Artist

A WOMAN born and raised in a city with diverse culture and beliefs and resplendent natural resources.

A WOMAN who has passion and keen appreciation for God's creation.

A WOMAN who expresses her creativity and artistic flair in any genre, but primarily in painting.

This woman is Anna Leah Monoy Sanson, born in the Philippines to Mr. and Mrs. Rodolfo Nadayag Sanson who guided her journey towards success and creativity.  At a very young age, they allowed her to explore and appreciate nature and encouraged her to express herself artistically.

Ann Leah graduated Bachelor of Arts in English  in her hometown, Iligan City.   She barely has any formal fine arts education yet her natural talent and passion established her successful profession in the arts.  For 20 years, she has continuously enhanced her artistic skills through costume design, props and costume making, stage design backdrops and event decorations including weddings.  Her artwork creations, which encompass ethnic cultural and contemporary concepts, have been viewed on stage, street exhibits and social media.   These were appreciated and commended by clients and viewers; and received awards and recognition from distinguished organizations.

Despite here hectic schedule as key proprietor of her family's event management business, she is still able to  express her creativity using paint brush and oil pastel, and fill the canvas with her imagination and emotions.  She dreams of sharing this gift to others through a solo exhibit   It might take time but she held on to this dream with fervor, enthusiasm and daily prayers!

Anna Leah's art depicts the rich  and complex themes of women's advocacy, tribal culture and natural preservation.

She is family oriented, responsible, hardworking, determined, and committed.

She works on her craft with enthusiasm, excellence and finesse balanced by free-spiritedness and spontaneity.
